I encountered another amazing experience last week in the OR. The patient had a giant cell tumor of the left humerus. The surgery included intra operative limb salvaging involving complete resection of a large bone tumor in the proximal shaft of the Humerus subsequently followed by intercalary reconstruction of the bone defect, and careful soft tissue covering. The humeral shaft was resected widely approximately 70mm and the Merete IDSF Humeral endoprosthesis was implanted.
